Valence Habyarimana is a teacher by profession whose research focuses on ionospheric studies with an emphasis on observations and modelling of the ionospheric parameters using Artificial Intelligence (AI). By applying AI and machine learning (ML) techniques such as Bi-directional Long Short Term Memory (BiLSTM), he intends to model and forecast traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs), ionospheric irregularities and map the response of the low latitude ionosphere to geomagnetic storms.
